Operations​

New​

If the product type is changed and the relevant fields are left blank, the values from the product type are assigned.

The product code is updated automatically according to the fields in the code generation rule.

The record's compliance with the constraints is checked. In case of a violation, an error is raised.

Edit​

If the product type is changed and the relevant fields are left blank, the values from the product type are assigned.

Delete​

It must not have any connection to tables such as Voucher, Lot, Order, etc. Otherwise, an error is raised.

Deleting it automatically deletes the Product Trees.

Create Stock​

This operation allows quick stock entry into the warehouse.

Product Type​

This is the fundamental definition that categorizes products. It is selected from a list. It can be customized and duplicated by the user.

In the product definition, many main definitions can arrive with default values depending on the product type. This reduces repetitive data entry and ensures standardization.

Textile Industry Example

When the "Yarn" product type is selected:

  • Fulfillment Method automatically defaults to "Purchasing"
  • Tracking Type is automatically marked as "Lot Tracked"
  • Unit of Measure defaults to "kg"

When the "Fabric" product type is selected:

  • Fulfillment Method automatically defaults to "Production"
  • Tracking Type is automatically marked as "Lot Tracked"
  • Unit of Measure defaults to "meter"

When the "Warp" product type is selected:

  • Fulfillment Method automatically defaults to "Production"
  • Tracking Type is automatically marked as "Lot Tracked"
  • Unit of Measure defaults to "meter"

Unit of Measure*​

The product's base unit of measure (piece, kg, m, etc.). It can be customized and duplicated by the user.

Tracking Type*​

Determines the stock tracking method of the product:

  • Product: Tracked only at the product level; no lot/serial number is used.
  • Lot: Products in the same production batch are grouped and tracked by lot number.
  • Serial: Each product is tracked with a unique serial number (especially for valuable/critical products).
Which Tracking Type Should Be Selected?
  • Product tracking: Standard materials, low-value products (screws, bolts, etc.)
  • Lot tracking: Raw materials, chemicals, medicines (tracking the same production batch is important)
  • Serial tracking: Electronic devices, machines, vehicles (each unit is unique and valuable)

Fulfillment Method​

Can take the values purchasing or production.

Accounting Code​

  • Each accounting code must be unique in the system
  • When you enter an accounting code that has been used before, the system will issue a warning.

Unique Code​

  • The system can control the re-creation of products with the same attributes.
  • The control is performed based on the unified code (ItemUnifiedCode)
  • If a product with the same attributes is found, the existing product information is displayed
